Two planes scraped their wings at Dulles International Airport Thursday afternoon.
The incident involved the wingtip from United flight 951 from Brussels that scraped the wingtip of a parked United aircraft next to it at the C gates.
No one was injured in the incident.
MWAA spokesman Rob Yingling says the FAA was alerted to the incident.
Here's the full United statement: Upon arriving at the gate at Washington Dulles today, the wingtip from United flight 951 from Brussels made contact with the wingtip of a second United aircraft parked at an adjacent gate. The passengers and crew deplaned the Brussels flight. There were no passengers onboard the parked aircraft. Our maintenance team is evaluating both aircraft to determine any damage.
