A drunk driver who killed five people didn't show up in court for sentencing Friday and now authorities are searching for him.

Kenneth Kelley killed five people, including two children in a terrible crash on Indian Head Highway back in 2014. Kelley was drunk and speeding. Last month, he pleaded guilty to five counts of negligent manslaughter.

On Friday, Kelley was supposed to be sentenced to up to 50 years in prison, but now that sentencing has to wait until he is taken in to custody.

Authorities are attempting to determine why a court ordered GPS location monitoring ankle bracelet was removed from Kelley's person earlier this week.

The device was installed and monitored by a private contractor.

There are currently no answers as to why it was removed, allowing Kelley to slip away.

Typhani Wilkerson, Tameika Curtis and two children were killed in the crash. Additionally, a passenger in Kelley's vehicle, Dominique Green, was killed.

Kelley’s blood alcohol level was .14 at the time of the crash, Prince George’s County police said.
