The District of Columbia's attorney general is once again suing the city's single largest owner of gas stations, Joe Mamo, over his business practices.
The Washington Post's Mike DeBonis reports that Attorney General Irvin Nathan filed suit against Mamo for making illegal agreements with gas wholesalers and the people who operate stations that Mamo owns throughout the district.
Mamo is known to have supply agreements with nearly 60 percent of the city's gas stations, DeBonis says.
The suit aims to lower gas prices; rates that Mamo claims to be fair.
The average price for a gallon of gas in the District of Columbia as of Wednesday is $3.70, according to gasbuddy.com.
