A DC rec center is set to reopen after closing due to a carbon monoxide incident that sent two employees to the hospital this week.

The Hardy Recreation Center was closed for the fourth day on Friday after maintenance crews initially detected carbon monoxide inside the building.

With the center scheduled to reopen, new protections are now being implemented for workers and its members.

The Department of General Services (DGS) announced it will install carbon monoxide detectors in all 80 of the city's recreation and aquatic centers.
