DC Beer Week's fifth annual celebration coming up

WASHINGTON (AP) - The nation's capital is gearing up for the city's fifth annual beer week.

Radio station WTOP-FM reports DC Beer Week begins Aug. 11 and continues through Aug. 18.

The week will include craft beer tastings, live music and educational seminars. There will also be an event where chefs cook with and pair their food with beers. The winner earns the title of Hop Chef DC.

At the end of the week, there'll be a tour of the soon-to-open brewery Bluejacket in southeast Washington. It's slated to open in early September.
