      DC Army National Guard soldiers return home from Afghanistan

      WASHINGTON (AP/ABC7) - Soldiers from a D.C. Army National Guard military police battalion have come home.

      About 70 members of the battalion returned Sunday to the District of Columbia following a 10-month deployment to Afghanistan.

      The soldiers operated out of Bagram Air Base, where they provided military police help and physical security details, conducted personal convoys and also managed mail operations and a dining facility, among other responsibilities.

      They{}returned Sunday to the D.C. National Guard Armory on East Capitol Street.
