D.C. National Aquarium moves animals to Baltimore

The first of 1700 animals from the National Aquarium's D.C. facility will arrive at their new home Monday.

The aquarium is transporting 38 animals, including a giant octopus, to the main facility in Baltimore. Each animal will be checked out before going on display.

Animals not going to Baltimore will be relocated to other aquariums. The D.C. branch of the National Aquarium closed last month because of construction at the Hoover Building.
