D.C. high school football marred by ineligble players, blowouts and forfeits

Once a point of pride in the city, the District of Columbia's public high school football league has been marred by a string of on-field incidents, eligibility issues and many other embarrassments, a report in the Washington City Paper says.

From not having enough players to field a complete team, to on-field brawls, to newly renovated facilities sitting empty on Friday nights, Dave McKenna writes that D.C. high school football may be reaching a new low.
