D.C. double shootings leave four injured

Four people were hurt overnight in separate double shootings in Northeast and Southeast D.C., police say.

The first shooting happened in the Langdon Park area of Northeast, near the intersection of Adams Place and Queens Chapel Road NE, D.C. Police say. Authorities confirmed that two people were shot at about 1:50 a.m., while one was reported to be in critical condition.

About 20 minutes later, gunfire erupted in the 400 block of Orange Street SE. Police say that two adult men were shot, one in the shoulder and the other in the leg. Neither of the victims' injuries are considered to be life threatening.

Both shootings remain under investigation.
