Some taxi drivers in D.C. are bucking against the upcoming deadline to install credit-card readers.
WTOP is reporting that some cab drivers say they haven’t had time to pick a credit-card payment provider. Cabbies had until Aug. 15 to pick a vendor. If they have picked a vendor by Aug. 15, they have until Sept. 30 to install the readers.
D.C. Cab commissioner Ron Linton, however, says the cabbies have had until June 1 to pick a vendor.
