      Comcast, Georgetown officials in talks about controversial utility boxes

      Comcast and Georgetown officials are{ }working to find a resolution after residents complained about “small refrigerator-sized” utility boxes that the cable company{ }has installed on street corners through the neighborhood, the GeorgetownPatch reports.

      Comcast reportedly said they believed it had properly obtained the permits to install the boxes, but after several complaints, the company is now working with local leader to find a “mutually beneficial solution.”

      According to the Patch, Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Tom Birch said the fact that the boxes were installed without any architectural or design review made him "livid."{ }
