A College Park water main break early Saturday left dozens of Greenbelt businesses without water.
Water was restored around 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
The break at Greenbelt and Branchville roads affected over 100 businesses, including the Beltway Plaza Shopping Center.
Residents say they noticed the first signs of trouble Friday afternoon.
“We were cooking and the water pressure went completely out,” Sarah Ray said Saturday. “Then it came back all brown and ugly.”
Many tenants in the Beltway Plaza Mall most likely lost thousands of dollars.
Crews said it took a while to fix the break because the pipe was so deep in the ground. The exact cause of the break is being investigated.
