A Lorton woman is now $1 million richer after she matched five numbers in the Powerball lottery.
Christina Robinson, who in her 50's, says it was "a whim" that she bought another Powerball ticket last week at a Food Lion on Gunston Plaza. She was already part of an office pool at the lobbying firm where she works.
She matched the first five Powerball numbers, but if she had matched the Powerball, she would have won a share of the $590.5 jackpot.
She said she has no immediate plans for her winnings.
The Food Lion receives $10,000 for selling the winning ticket. She used the easy pick machine in the store, letting the computer pick randomly.
