Chinese ice sculptors create masterpieces at National Harbor

For a month, master sculptors from China have been working to create masterpieces at the National Harbor.

But these aren't just any sculptures -- they're made from two million pounds of ice.

Tons of ice from Ohio is being transformed by 34 master sculptors to create ice sculptures at the Gaylord National.

They're from Northern China, which is known for its international ice carving festival every year.

There's a winter wonderland of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and what will be an icy Big Apple.

Forty-five trucks full of hundreds of blocks of ice eventually become carved and shaved and shivered into masterpieces.

When the ice opens on November 15, you can take a ride on your way out the door. They're looking at200,000 people to make it through during the holiday season.
