Charlie Adkins murder: Police return to canvass Woodbridge neighborhood

(WJLA) - Authorities are returning Monday to the Woodbridge neighborhood where a 78-year-old man was killed last week in an attempt to garner more leads toward his murderer.

Charlie Adkins, 78, was found dead inside his Caledonia Circle home on Nov. 12, Prince William County Police say, by a neighbor who went to check on him.

A specific cause of death has not been revealed, but authorities say Adkins was suffering from unspecified upper body injuries.

Officers from the county's homicide unit will be canvassing the neighborhood with flyers throughout Monday afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-411-TIPS.
