Casey Emmer has been charged with murdering his father, Lawrence Emmer, Monday night in Great Falls. Police sources and neighbors told ABC7’s Horace Holmes the suspect has autism.
Fairfax County Police report that they responded to the 1200 block of Colvin Meadows Lane on Monday around 10:15 p.m. for a report of a break-in.
They discovered the body of 62-year-old Lawrence Emmer, who had been stabbed repeatedly in the upper body. The victim was reportedly bound to a wheelchair.
A police spokesperson says that Casey Emmer called in the report of a break-in. When police arrived, the son confessed to stabbing his father. Police arrested Emmer, 25, of 1223 Colvin Meadow Lane, and charged him with homicide.
The two were home alone last night while the boy’s mother and another son were out watching fireworks.
This is the sixth homicide in Fairfax County for 2011.
