A car carrying two adults and an 8-month-old baby went up in flames early Saturday morning after it was hit by another vehicle.
Montgomery County firefighters said the crash happened about 1 a.m. at Aspen Hill Road and Parkland Drive in Rockville. Firefighters responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
The driver of the second vehicle fled the scene on foot, Montgomery Police Capt. Paul Starks said. Dogs were brought out, but were not able to track the person.
The victims were taken to a trauma center with serious injuries.
