Want to get your hands on the old Capital City Diner? Get your bids ready.

The decades-old modular diner that housed the restaurant, which for nearly two years served customers off Bladensburg Road in Northeast, has been placed on eBay. The opening bid is $20,000.

The diner, listed on the auction website as "Used," was built in 1947. A Silk City Diner model, it originally served hungry patrons in Avoca, N.Y. before moving to the District.

Matt Ashburn, the Capital City Diner's owner, cited rising costs, the sagging economy and the recent opening of a nearby national chain restaurant as reasons his establishment went under.

Ashburn closed the doors after the last weekend of January.

The diner, which was originally built in 1947, seats 36 people and comes with a litany of restaurant equipment.

The auction ends just after midnight on March 10.
