(WJLA) - An already tricky Monday morning commute was made worse when several cars were damaged by debris that littered the Capital Beltway.

At least 10 cars experienced flat tires while driving on the Outer Loop of the Beltway near Georgia Avenue during the early stages of the morning rush hour.

Several lanes were closed to clean up the mess, which Maryland State Police officials say was caused by items falling from a truck that drove on the highway.
