Brittany Norwood's trial not postponed, lawyers claim injuries affected her
The judge in the Brittany Norwood Lululemon murder case has refused to postpone the trial after lawyers asked last week for more time to investigate her medical and social background.
Norwood, who is accused of killing fellow employee Jayna Murray on March 11 inside the Bethesda athletic apparel store they worked in, will likely go to trial as scheduled in October.
Defense attorneys wanted to argue that concussions that Norwood's collegiate soccer career led to her mental state being altered.
Prosecutors are seeking a life sentence for Norwood, 29, without parole.
