Family members, friends and Fairfax County Police officials are mobilizing to search for a 27-year-old Clifton man who went missing Saturday morning.

Fairfax County Polices spokesman Ofc. Don Gotthardt says that Brian Woodworth was reported missing Feb. 3 at about 5 p.m., several hours after family members say he did not return from a trip to a local sporting goods store. His white Toyota Highlander was then found near Bull Run Regional Park Tuesday night.

Fairfax County Police said on Thursday that they discovered a body in the quarry adjacent to Bull Run Regional Park around 12 p.m. Wednesday. Police are looking into the possibility that it is connected to Woodworth’s disappearance. There is no indication of foul play.

Gotthardt said that police have been able to connect the SUV to Woodworth and that a search of the area and the car did not turn up any sign of him.

Members of Woodworth's family say that he was supposed to leave on a trip to Costa Rica on Tuesday. He did not show up for that departure.

A Facebook page to assist and spread the word about the search has also been established. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fairfax County Police at (703) 691-2131 or Crime Solvers.
