WASHINGTON (AP) - Authorities have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a man outside a Dupont Circle restaurant over Thanksgiving weekend.
D.C. police say 29-year-old Brandon Terry, of Riverdale, was picked up on an arrest warrant Monday and charged with second-degree murder while armed.
Terry is accused of shooting 34-year-old Jhonte Coleman of Suitland outside the Heritage India restaurant on Connecticut Avenue about 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 27.
Police have said say a fight broke out at the restaurant, which had been operating as an after-hours party spot, and spilled out onto the sidewalk. Authorities say three men were stabbed and another three were shot, including Coleman.
The D.C. liquor board moved to reinstate Heritage India's liquor license last December after the incident with major restrictions. Those stipulations included restricted hours, a requirement to serve food with alcohol and more stringent security measures.
