For the third time in three days, a young person has drowned in an area body of water.

WTVR reports that 17-year-old Brandon Coleman was swimming in Lake Louisa on Tuesday when he became distressed, went underwater and never surfaced. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses tell WTVR that Coleman, who was was going to be a senior at a Louisa County high school this fall, called for help before going under. His father told the station that the teen could swim.

It's the second drowning in that specific area in 24 hours. On Monday, a 6-year-old girl drowned while swimming in Lake Anna.

Closer to the D.C. area, 15-year-old Victor Manuel Videla-Hernandez drowned while swimming near Scotts Cove at Rocky Gorge Reservoir in North Laurel.
