A Montgomery County middle school student wants to be sure kids living in a homeless shelter have books to read any time they want to.

Jack Holland, 14, an Eagle Scout candidate, organized a project with the help of some churches and schools and collected 2,000 books.

ABC7's Sam Ford was at the homeless shelter Tuesday as the truckload of books and bookshelves were unloaded and shown to the kids.

Watch Sam's report in the video above.
