Just hours after an ATM was stolen Friday morning from a Fort Washington Exxon station, a gas station in Northeast Washington had its cash machine taken as well.
The robbery happened at the Exxon at 2651 Benning Road NE just after 7:15 a.m., MPD spokesperson Ofc. Tisha Gant said. Police say two men loaded station's ATM into the back of a black pickup truck and fled.
Authorities describe one of the suspsects as a 6-foot-2 black man wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a mask.
This robbery came less than four hours after two suspects smashed a dark-colored truck into an Exxon station on Indian Head Highway and took their ATM. Prince George's County Police say the cash machine had about $1,500 inside when it was stolen.
