(WJLA) - After months of anticipation, Bao Bao the panda cub has made her big public debut.
The National Zoo has extended its hours this weekend for the giant panda house as Bao Bao makes her debut. Saturday was the first chance for the public to see the 5-month-old cub.
The panda house will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
The amount of time Bao Bao and her mother, Mei Xiang, will be on exhibit each day depends on their behavior.
Those who can't make it out to the zoo can watch Bao Bao and Mei Xiang on the panda cam!
Bao Bao was born on Aug. 23.
