(WJLA) - These skaters want nothing more than to spend their summer on a skateboard. But three weeks ago, vandals sprayed graffiti all over Powhatan Springs Skatepark – a random smattering of words, numbers, and pictures.
It is the third such incident in the past few months, causing $35,000 in damage and resulting in the park closing for repairs.
After a lengthy investigation, Arlington Police arrested four men in connection with the case on Thursday night.
Alvaro Pessotti, who owns Kiko’s Skate Shop right across from the park, says the vandalism is not good for business. But soon enough, the work will be done.
