Arlington Police locate 'armed and dangerous' man wanted for murder

UPDATE: The suspect has been located and is in police custody.

Arlington Police need the public's help locating a man wanted for a murder that happened in Arlington on Friday night.

Daejon Jones is wanted for his role in a murder, and is considered armed and dangerous, per police.

Police say the shooting happened in the Nauck neighborhood at around 11 p.m. in the 2400 block of S. Lowell Street.

Upon arrival, officers found one man suffering from a gunshot wound. Adonis Wright, 35, of Washington D.C. was transported to GW Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police say the two men knew each other and the shooting resulted from a dispute.

According to police there is no threat to the public.
