Sheila Wash lives upstairs with her daughter in a First Street apartment building in Northwest D.C.
"I'am a 50 year old woman, menopausal," she says. "It's hot."
People who live at the apartment say workers left behind shoddy electrical wires and Pepco told them it needed to be fixed before their power could be turned back on because it's a fire hazard.
They claim their landlord told them it would be fixed. That was days ago.
No power for two long weeks also means several families can't keep food in their fridge.
