A trio of masked men doused a man and a woman with bleach during an armed home invasion and robbery Monday afternoon in Annapolis, The Capital Gazette reports.
Police say the men forced their way into the home on Greenbriar Lane around 2:45 p.m. and doused the pair in the face.
The suspects took two cellphones before running away.
The victims were taken to the Bayview Burn Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe the victims and suspects knew each other.
Less than 12 hours later the Royal Farms convenience store in the 400 block of Sixth Street in Eastport was robbed. Police say three masked men walked into the store around 2:15 a.m., held an employee at gunpoint, and took cash from the register.
