(WJLA) - Administrators at Annapolis High School have a simple message for their students in advance of their upcoming Homecoming dance - no twerking.
As reported by WJZ in Baltimore, students who wish to attend the Oct. 26 dance must sign a contract outlining the event's code of conduct. Included in that list of regulations are strict rules against "sexually explicit dancing."
Types of dancing that are prohibited by the contract, which can be viewed here, include grinding, intimate touching and "buttocks touching a partner or in the air," or as more commonly known, twerking.
Anne Arundel County Public Schools officials told WJZ that they're trying to curtail known issues of provocative behavior that has taken place recently.
What makes this year's contract different, though, is that for the first time, parents have to co-sign the document with their students.
"I know my parents would never know what that was, but now they know what twerking is," Annapolis High student Bailey Greene told WJZ.
