AMBER Alert issued for missing mom, baby possibly abducted in Va., car found abandoned

AMBER Alert issued for missing baby, child's mother also 'possibly abducted' in Va. (Virginia State Police)

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing infant and her mother in Hampton, Virginia and authorities say they are both believe to be in "extreme danger."

Police report 8-month-old Chloe Johnson and her mother, Keir Johnson, 34, were last seen in the 1900 block of Hasting Avenue on Monday, May 1.

On Sunday, officials reported a 2013 black Kia Optima that the pair were believed to have been traveling in with Virginia tags that read VAW2197 was found in Newport News.

According to alerts, Chloe and Keir may have been abducted by an unknown man.

Chloe is described as a black female infant, who is 2-foot-5 inches tall and weighs 20 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Keir is a black woman who was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt and glasses.

The AMBER Alert was terminated on Thursday, May 18, after a seven-day activation period, which is standard procedure.

Chloe and Keir Johnson have still not be located and are considered missing and endangered.
