Two more people were arrested Monday in the March shooting death of a 31-year-old man who was about to receive his degree from Catholic University.
MPD officials say that Floyd Neal, 20, and Lafeyette Robinson, 19, were both charged with first-degree murder in connection with the March 14 shooting death of Akinwole Olu Williams.
Williams was shot in the chest just before midnight on March 14 in the 1000 block of 44th Street. He later died at a nearby hospital. Police have not yet determine a motive for the shooting.
The arrest of Neal and Robinson are the second and third in connection to Williams' death. The Washington Post says that 18-year-old Deandre Shaheed was taken into custody earlier in June.
The Northeast Washington resident had graduated from Catholic with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies just a few months earlier.
