One of the D.C. area's Christmas traditions - the annual Air Force Band concerts - will not go on this year due to sequestration.
The Air Force announced Thursday that the four annual concerts, which are held every December at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, are among the many planned cuts due to sequestration guidelines impacting the corps.
Those cuts include all planned travel and other miscellaneous spending with in the Air Force.
The concerts the Air Force Band has held at Constitution Hall date back for four decades. The band is in the process of planning alternative performances in place of the popular ones that are being canceled.
