ADELPHI, Md. (WJLA) - A major water main break forced a metro bus driver to abandon his bus and has closed a stretch of Metzerott Road in Prince George's County.

The asphalt of Metzerott Road separated underneath the weight of the R1 bus, which was attempting to make a u-turn to avoid the water main break. Turned perpendicular to the flow of traffic, the bus became stuck and the driver was forced to leave it. The bus was empty and there were no injuries reported.
