A accident involving nine vehicle shut down an Arlington intersection for about two hours.
Police were called to Washington Boulevard at Glebe Road around 6 p.m. According to police, a man driving an SUV approached the intersection in an aggressive manner, running into the back of a convertible stopped at a red light.
The woman inside the convertible became trapped and had to be extricated by emergency crews. She was taken to Fairfax Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
No one else was taken to the hospital.
Arlington police say the driver of the SUV will be charged with reckless driving.
