Abraham Aragon of Manassas dies, baby dies in Fairfax car crash

Fairfax County Police are investigating a fatal car accident that took place on the Fairfax County Parkway at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, September 29.

The crash occurred just north of Braddock Road, and according to a preliminary investigation, 44-year-old Abraham Aragon was driving his 1993 Mazda MX3 Coupe northbound in the southbound lanes of the road. Some vehicles were able to avoid the oncoming car by veering away, but the Mazda still managed to directly hit a 2002 Toyota Avalon.

Aragon was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash, while the other two passengers in the Toyota are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

However, the female passenger was pregnant, and due to the crash, the baby was delivered. On Monday, authorities say the baby died.
