Abduction investigation snarls morning commute in D.C.

WASHINGTON (WJLA) - An abduction investigation on Foxhall Road in Northwest Washington caused major traffic backups for morning commuters Thursday.

Delays stretched all across the area, including the Key Bridge and even into Rosslyn.

The situation began at around 7 a.m. when a woman called police saying she'd been abducted. Police are not releasing the details of the phone call or the outcome of the investigation.

Traffic is back to normal.
