AAA urges Va. members stuck at home to wait it out

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Triple A auto club is telling motorists whose vehicles are snowbound in their driveways to wait it out.

The Mid-Atlantic Triple A says all other rescue calls are being dispatched and serviced. The auto club expects the volume of calls to increase Thursday as residents wake up to snow a foot deep in some locations and piles of slush in others.

The Triple A is urging motorists to stay off the roads unless there is a critical need to venture out.
