Police searching for person who allegedly stabbed man to death in D.C.

Police said a 56-year-old man was stabbed to death Saturday in Northwest D.C.

Gregory Monroe, of Northwest, was found with multiple stab wounds around 5:45 p.m. in the 400 block of H Street, NW.

He was taken to an area hospital but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said.

On Friday, D.C. Police said they were searching for a man named Jose Luzunaris, who is currently wanted for second-degree murder while armed in the fatal stabbing of Monroe.

Luzunaris, 52, also goes by the nickname "Panama."

Police describe him as 5-foot-5, around 140 pounds with a medium complexion.

According to police, Luzunaris is to be considered armed and dangerous.
