2 women sexually assaulted in Suitland

Two women were sexually assaulted in Suitland while walking to a Metro station, Prince George’s Police said.

Both sexual assaulted took place in the 4700 block of Silver Hill Road during the past two weeks during the early morning hours.

In the first incident, on Sept. 27, a woman was sexually assaulted by a suspect who displayed a gun, grabbed the woman’s arm, led her to the back of an abandoned building and sexually assaulted her.

The second incident occurred on Oct. 4. The suspect approached the victim, displayed a handgun and tried to pull the woman across the street. The woman struggled and broke free from her attacker.

Police are working to determine if the two incidents are related.

From police: The suspect in both incidents is described as a black male with a dark brown complexion, approximately 25-30 years old. He is approximately 5’5”-5’6” tall with a close haircut and light facial hair. In the first incident, the suspect was wearing a black jacket, a black and white striped shirt, and acid washed blue jeans with faded brown patches on the front. In the second incident, the suspect was wearing a black jacket and black pants. The suspect was armed with a black handgun during both incidents.
