2 nurses suing Inova over sexual harassment claims against former co-worker
Two nurses are suing Inova Health after they said they were sexually harassed by a former co-worker at a Northern Virginia hospital.
The nurses accuse Frederick Yeboah, a 60-year-old nurse, of sexually harassing them while they were working together at Mount Vernon Hospital in the Fairfax County portion of Alexandria.
Two other nurses also accuse Yeboah of sexual harassment, including Sharina Thibou, who spoke exclusively with ABC7.
After Thibou told her bosses about the alleged harassment, the Board of Nursing says Inova gave Yeboah a disciplinary form that would have required him to take anti-sexual harassment training. He resigned instead.
In August, Yeboah was charged with sexually battering a 39-year-old female patient at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge in a case that’s ongoing.
Yeboah’s nursing license has since been revoked.
The attorney of the two nurses suing, Craig Curwood, said he was “not at liberty to discuss the specifics” when reached for comment.
