2 different tractor trailer accidents in Virginia cause backups on I-95
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Md. (ABC7) —
Two separate tractor trailer accidents caused delays on Interstate 95 in Prince William County Wednesday morning, authorities say.
According to Virginia State Police, the first accident happened at around 12:45 a.m. near mile marker 150 and involved one tractor trailer that reportedly had its cab catch fire.
Fire officials say no one was injured in this incident.
The second accident was a crash between a tractor trailer and an Enterprise Rental box truck near mile marker 149 at around 2:30 a.m. The crash reportedly caused a diesel fuel leak and had shut down all lanes in the area.
Virginia State Police have not released any injury information in this crash at this time.
The accidents caused shutdowns on I-95 from about 12:45 a.m. to around 5:00 a.m. Both accidents have now been fully cleared and I-95 is completely reopened.
