      2-alarm fire in Alexandria

      Alexandria firefighters are putting out a 2-alarm fire at an apartment in Alexandria.

      The fire, on the 5700 block of Rayburn Avenue, is in the second-floor apartment.

      Firefighters responded to the fire at about 3:30 p.m. and found a fire in the apartment building.

      The fire was confined to the attic and caused about $50,000 worth of damage.

      No injuries were reported but the occupants of two apartments were displaced.
