'Santarchy' set to take over parts of Washington D.C. Saturday

If you see dozens of Santas marching in downtown D.C. this afternoon, you're not seeing things. "Santarchy" is back in the District.

Santarchy DC 2011 will begin at 1 p.m. at the carousel on the National Mall and bring the holiday spirit - and their disdain for bad holiday parties - through the streets of Washington.

On their website, organizers describe Santarchy as a "non-profit, non-political, non-religious and non-sensical" celebration. The rules are simple - be jolly, don't whine, don't throw coal at the White house - and a mandatory Santa-esque dress code is in effect.

The participants are also quick to point out that that they're not protesters, since Santa is a-political.

You can follow Santarchy on their Twitter page.
