A Fairfax City health clinic that performed abortions has closed.
The Washington Post reports that Nova Women's Healthcare, which operated on Eaton Place near I-66, had performed more abortions than any other clinic in Virginia.
It's unclear whether the clinic will re-open.
The clinic would have needed to upgrade its facility after the state changed rules to now require clinics that provide abortions to have hospital-grade standards.
The clinic applied for a new permit in another office building but was denied by the city because parking at the building was deemed inadequate, the Post reports.
