The WSJ is reporting that as of last week, fewer than 50,000 insurance seekers successfully enrolled using glitch-heavy site, healthcare.gov.
The number falls short of goals set by President Obama, as his administration initially estimated that nearly 500,000 people would enroll in October.
The government plans to release national enrollment figures for the month of October sometime this week. The deadline for open enrollment is March 31, 2014.
