Durand A. Ford Sr. death lawsuit dismissed by D.C. judge

The Washington Post is reporting that a D.C. judge has dismissed a multi-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit against the D.C. Fire Department.

The family of 71-year-old Durand A. Ford Sr., who died of a heart attack after waiting 30 minutes for an ambulance, filed the lawsuit. They claimed the city was not prompt enough in responding to Ford, who ended up collapsing in his Southeast home on January 1.
