(WJLA) - A big change is coming to one of your favorite cereals, as General Mills announces that it will stop using genetically modified ingredients to make its original Cheerios cereal.
As of right now, the oats used to make the cereal never contained any GMO's. The company says it made changes to its sourcing, and now uses non-GMO pure cane sugar instead of beet sugar. The change was made several weeks ago.
And parents, there's an important recall on child car seats. Combi USA is recalling more than 33,000 seats due to the harnesses not being strong enough to meet federal safety standards. Three models you need to look out for include the Coccoro, Zeus Turn, and Zeus 360.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, seats made after January 2013 do not have this issue.
Meanwhile, AT&T is now offering T-Mobile customers a deal worth up to $450 to switch carriers - essentially, you can get paid to switch phone providers.
The wireless company says it will give T-Mobile subscribers a $200 credit per phone line, plus up to $250 for their Smartphones if they switch over to AT&T.
The smaller T-Mobile has shaken up the cell phone industry with several new programs, including its "uncarrier" strategy which eliminated contracts altogether.
