Bleach facials not recommended by Stanford researchers

(WJLA) - The newest craze in beauty treatments involves, of all things, a dangerous and common household chemical.

A new study from researchers at Stanford University suggests that bleach could be a key component of keeping skin looking young.

Laboratory tests on young rats showed that the chemical actually had anti-aging benefits.

However, doctors urge anyone interested in the results to not actually experiment with bleaching their own skin. The researchers say it's nearly impossible to figure out the research-approved concentration.
